How We Handle Your Information

What we collect

If you complete the enquiry form on this site, we receive the details you choose to give us: your name, business email, company, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in the message field. A phone number and website address are optional.

If you email us directly, we receive whatever is in your message.

Why we hold it

We use this information for one purpose: to reply to you and, if it becomes relevant, to discuss working together. We do not sell it, rent it or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted once the conversation has clearly ended. Records relating to client work are kept for as long as we need them for that work and for our own business and tax records.

Who else is involved

Two services process information on our behalf:

• Our website host, Netlify, receives form submissions and standard server logs.
• Our email provider handles the messages we exchange with you.
• Google Analytics records how the site is used, as described below.

Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, which means your browser requests those files from Google.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used—which pages are read, how visitors arrive and where they leave. This tells us what is useful and what is not.

Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser, the pages you view and the site that referred you. Your IP address is truncated before storage. We use this only in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you or to build an advertising profile, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Confidential enquiries

Reputation and crisis enquiries are handled discreetly and shared only with the people at Mackasey who need to see them.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@mackaseyhow.com and we will respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as PIPEDA in Canada, the GDPR in the UK and Europe, or state privacy laws in the United States. We will honour those rights where they apply.

Changes

If this notice changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
