Journalists Need Experts. We Handle the Responses.
Mackasey identifies relevant journalist requests, develops compelling expert responses and manages submissions on your behalf, so you can focus on your business.
Journalists Are Looking for Experts. Few Have Time to Answer.
Reporters, editors and producers post requests for expert sources every day. Many of those requests are a good fit for people with real knowledge and something useful to say.
The difficulty is keeping up. Requests appear across several platforms and private lists, deadlines are often measured in hours, and a useful response takes judgment and careful writing. For a busy executive or consultant, that work is easy to put off until the opportunity has passed.
The Solution
We Handle the Work. You Supply the Expertise.
Mackasey monitors journalist requests from Qwoted, Featured, other journalist-request channels and private media invitation lists. We decide which requests are worth answering, develop responses that sound like you and serve the journalist’s story, and manage submission and follow-up.
You are not buying access to a platform. You are engaging an experienced PR team that reads requests the way a journalist writes them, and knows how to present you as a credible, useful source.
We also do not sell these programs to everyone who asks. Before you enroll, we assess your expertise, industry and media objectives, and we recommend a program only when we believe the requests we monitor give you a realistic opportunity to take part in relevant media conversations.

01
Identify
We monitor relevant journalist requests every business day across the platforms and invitation lists we use.
02

We draft a tailored response with your input, written to be useful to the journalist and accurate to your view.
04
Submit
We submit the response through the right channel and within the journalist’s deadline, after your approval or under the managed approach agreed at onboarding.

Each month you receive a clear report on activity and results, from requests reviewed to coverage published.
Programs and Pricing
Two Monthly Programs
Both programs include daily monitoring, response writing, submission management and journalist coordination by an experienced PR team. The main difference is capacity.
Mackasey clients have received coverage in outlets including Bloomberg, Forbes, Inc. and Entrepreneur through the firm’s broader PR work. These examples reflect our agency experience. They are not guaranteed outcomes of, or necessarily attributable to, these monthly programs.

Initial three-month commitmentBoth programs begin with a three-month term. Prices are in US dollars.
Fit assessed before you enrollWe recommend a program only when your expertise suits the requests we monitor.
Unused responses roll overIn a quieter month, unused response credits carry forward for one additional month.
Coverage is the journalist’s decisionMedia placements, mentions and interviews are not guaranteed. Journalists choose their own sources.
Program terms
Each program provides a monthly allowance of up to 7 (Media Presence) or 12 (Media Momentum) tailored responses to inbound journalist requests.
We respond only to requests that genuinely match your expertise. The allowance is a maximum, not a quota.
If there are not enough suitable requests in a month, unused response credits carry forward for one additional month while your program remains active, then expire.
Older credits are used first.
To protect quality and delivery, the most responses we deliver in any single month, including rollover, is 10 for Media Presence and 18 for Media Momentum.
Credits represent eligibility for additional tailored responses when genuinely relevant journalist requests are available. They are not refunds, cash equivalents or guaranteed placements.
Client approval of each response is optional, agreed at onboarding and can be changed during the engagement. A response credit is used only when a response is submitted; drafts that are never submitted, monitoring, screening and routine follow-up do not use credits.
Both programs have an initial three-month commitment, then continue month to month, subject to the signed service agreement and its cancellation provisions. Prices are in US dollars.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What are journalist requests?
Journalists, editors and producers regularly post requests for expert sources. Each request describes the story, the kind of expertise needed and a deadline. A well-matched, well-written response can lead to a quote, a mention or an interview.
Which platforms do you monitor?
We monitor Qwoted, Featured, other journalist-request platforms and private media invitation lists. Mackasey is an independent PR firm and is not owned by or affiliated with any of these platforms.
Do I need my own Qwoted or Featured account?
Ordinarily, no. Mackasey manages the workflow on your behalf, subject to each platform’s own account and submission requirements.
How much time will I need to spend?
Very little. We begin with an onboarding conversation about your expertise, views and any subjects to avoid. After that, it depends on the approval option you choose. With managed submissions, we only contact you when something needs your confirmation. If you approve every response, expect to review drafts promptly, often the same day.
Do I have to approve every response?
That is your choice, and we settle it during onboarding. With approval required, we prepare each response and send it to you before submission. With managed submissions, we prepare and submit responses using your approved credentials, expertise and messaging, without asking you to approve each one.
You can change your preference at any time during the engagement. Under either option, we will check with you whenever a response involves new facts, sensitive information or a substantive statement that needs verification.
Journalist deadlines can be short. If you have chosen to approve each response and a draft is not approved before the journalist’s deadline, we cannot guarantee the opportunity will still be open. A draft that is never submitted does not use a response credit.
What counts as one tailored response?
One response is one substantive, tailored submission addressing one specific journalist request on behalf of one designated spokesperson.
Monitoring, screening, drafts that are never submitted and routine follow-up do not use response credits.
Are media placements guaranteed?
No. Journalists decide independently which sources to use, and stories can change or be cut. We focus on what we control: choosing the right requests, writing strong responses and following up professionally. That gives you the best chance of being used.
What happens if there aren’t enough suitable journalist requests?
Before you enroll, Mackasey assesses your expertise and media objectives to determine whether the program is a good fit.
We only respond to requests that genuinely match your expertise. If fewer suitable opportunities arise in a given month, unused response credits roll over for one additional month while your program remains active.
Rollover responses are subject to suitable opportunities and monthly delivery limits. Our goal is to pursue relevant media opportunities, never to submit responses simply to fill a quota.
How do rollover credits work?
Unused response credits carry forward for one additional month while your program remains active, then expire. Older credits are used first. In any single month we deliver no more than 10 responses for Media Presence or 18 for Media Momentum, including rollover, so not every accumulated credit can necessarily be used at once.
Credits give you eligibility for additional tailored responses when genuinely relevant journalist requests are available. They are not refunds, cash equivalents or guaranteed placements.
What is the minimum commitment?
Both programs begin with an initial three-month commitment.
After the first three months, your program continues month to month, subject to your signed service agreement and its cancellation provisions.
Can I also hire Mackasey for podcasts, author publicity or full-service PR?
Yes. Journalist Requests & Expert Commentary focuses only on inbound journalist opportunities. For proactive media outreach, podcast guest booking or author publicity, see Public Relations, Podcast Strategy and Author Publicity, or ask us about a combined program.
